Lyrics

Waiting underneath your balconyFor you to come and rescue meJuliet, Juliet
What'll we tell our familyMine doesn't like youAnd yours won't like meWait and seeWe don't have to think about that yetJuliet
Climbing up your guarded wallsI'm gonna get to you if I have to fallJuliet
Maybe we can spend the nightWe can dance until the morning lightHold me tightWe don't have to think about them yetJuliet
Love comes in so many colors,So many shadesThat you might miss it if you hesitateYou might miss it if you don't stay awakeSo stay awake

Juliet & JulietStar-crossed lovers in a culture thatWants to tear us downLook what we’ve found
When I look into your eyesI don’t have to hide who I am insideJuliet
Life and death are not the sameWe don’t have to live our lives ashamedWe can say our names
We don’t have to think about that yetJuliet
Love comes in so many colorsSo many shadesThat you might miss it if you hesitateYou might miss it if you don’t stay awakeSo stay awake
Juliet, JulietStar-crossed lovers in a culture thatWants to tear us downBut look what we’ve found

Story
I wrote this song sitting at the piano underneath the balcony in James Chapel for friends whose love is still seen by many in society to be wrong.  I felt called to write this song, to witness that Love comes and we must all take, grab, say "Yes!" before it's too late.
