From the recording Does Not Fall Away

Lyrics

Lyrics

Standin’ on the edgeof the Golden Gate bridgeThe wind is blowin’and the fog’s rollin’ in
Starin’ out across the bayHow did things get this wayI don’t knowBut I feel so far away
Sittin’ by the railroad tracksFeelin’ like I can’t go backHear the whistle blowWhere can I go?
Starts to rainI can see the trainWill it take away my pain?
If I fall into despairYou’re still there
Our home, EternityDoes not fall away
Dark in the nightAnd I can’t see the moonEven from the window of my bedroom

Up all nightCan’t see the lightMy eyes are openBut I’ve lost my sight
Maybe I can seeWhat’s shinin’ in me
Our Home, EternityDoes not fall away
We don’t have to fearThat we’ll find no place to return toBecause we fell away
Even when we’ve lost our ground to stand onYou stay
Strap on a bombSay good-bye to momThe air is dryAnd there’s sand stuck in my eye
Go into a crowded placeThen I see someone’s faceAnd I don’t want to die
Refrain

Story
This song is based on Augustine's Confessions.  We don't have to fear falling away from God, because God does not fall away.  I especially thought that if we can relate human to human, we can choose life.
